Field Operator & Worker Guide

Field Operators work directly with farmers in the field. This guide details mobile app usage, offline synchronization, farmer KYC onboarding, and seed distribution verification.

1. Using the Mobile Progressive Web App (PWA)​

AgroOps runs as a lightweight PWA on any Android or iOS smartphone:

  1. Open Chrome or Safari on the field device and navigate to your AgroOps domain.
  2. Tap Add AgroOps to Home Screen when prompted.
  3. The app installs locally with offline storage caching enabled via Service Workers.

2. Offline Mode & Data Sync​

When operating in remote villages with zero network coverage:

  • The app operates fully offline.
  • Newly registered farmers, geo-tags, and inspections are saved to local IndexedDB storage.
  • A yellow Offline Mode pill badge appears in the top navigation bar.
  • As soon as the device reconnects to Wi-Fi or cellular network, a blue sync banner displays:
    • Tap Sync Data Now to push all pending records to the central PostgreSQL server.

3. Conversational Farmer Onboarding​

  1. Open Farmers > Conversational Onboarding.
  2. Speak or type in the farmer's preferred regional language.
  3. The AgroOps AI onboarding wizard prompts for:
    • Full name, government ID number (e.g. Aadhaar), and phone number.
    • Land parcel location (auto-captures device GPS coordinates).
    • Bank IFSC code and account number for direct subsidy/procurement settlement.
  4. Review the auto-populated summary with the farmer.
  5. Tap Submit Registration.

4. Seed Distribution & QR Verification​

To prevent counterfeit seed distribution and confirm farmer hand-off:

  1. Open Verify Seed from the bottom navigation bar.
  2. Point your camera at the QR code printed on the allocated seed sack.
  3. The screen immediately displays:
    • Batch number, variety name, expiration date, and assigned farmer.
  4. Tap Confirm Delivery to record the timestamp and GPS coordinate of the handover.
