Seed Traceability & QR Verification
Seed traceability ensures that every bag of seed distributed to farmers is authentic, certified, and trackable back to the parent breeder seed lot.
QR Code Architecture
Every seed sack or allocation parcel receives a serialized cryptographic QR code:
- Seed Provenance: Breeder organization, foundation lot number, parent batch.
- Quality Metrics: Tested germination %, purity %, date of packaging.
- Chain of Custody: Warehouse received date, dispatch date, field operator ID, recipient farmer ID.
Verifying a Seed Bag
- Open the AgroOps mobile app or web portal at
/verify-seed. - Tap Scan QR Code or enter the 12-character alpha-numeric token manually.
- If valid, the system displays a verified green badge:
- Variety name & certification status.
- Authorized recipient name.
- Sowing guidelines and recommended seed treatment chemicals.
- If a bag was previously scanned as delivered, the system flags a duplicate warning to prevent counterfeit packaging.
